Akansha Tyagi - Dr. Deepa
Akansha Tyagi is studying medicine at the University of Manchester. Performing arts have been her interest since childhood, and she is known for her presentation skills and Dancing abilities. Acting comes naturally to her and the challenge has been 'to act the part that represents one's own vocation.'

This is her first major feature and she does great justice to the sensitive character of Deepa that she plays in Bhavishya-The Future!

"Meeting and casting Akansha for the role of Deepa was just a chance and good luck.

I was looking for someone to represent the Junior Doctor in our hospitals, and I did not have to look beyond Akansha, a true representation she makes, that has satisfied the director in me...."

Vikrant Gautam - Dr. Deepak
Vikrant Gautam is studying medicine at the University of Manchester. His confident style and academic brilliance shine through in his performance as Dr Deepak in the film.

" I was lucky to have got this role and enjoyed every minute of the filming, with so many senior doctors on the sets. Going to India to shoot was a great experience and to see the practice of medicine there first hand helped a lot in bringing out the character I played." He says.

"You remind me of the young Shashi Kapoor." said Saeed Jaffrey after meeting him on the sets.

Dr. Rob Lister - Mr. Gareth Williams
Rob Lister is a Dermatologist in his day job. He studied medicine at Liverpool, the cultural capital of Europe, and his performance in the film reflects this. Passionate about films and social issues he saw an opportunity to portray the professionalism of a young NHS Consultant's life in this film.

"Performing in front of the camera was a bit of an unusual experience at first, but with the help of the camera crew and the patience of the director, the lines flew naturally. It also gave me an opportunity to refresh my knowledge of Ophthalmology and to feel at first hand the attraction of the Bollywood!"
Harish
Dr. Harish Bhalla - Dr. Ravi Kant
Dr. Harish Bhalla is a well know Socio cultural crusader and Senior Doctor from DELHI.

Pioneer in De-addiction programmes in India, he has been interested in Music and Arts since childhood. He is much remembered for the TV Serial 'ANDHI GALIYAN' that created a mass awareness and movement on the issue of addiction to Heroine.

With several Stage, radio and TV appearances behind him, he continues to pursue his passion for theatre and art!

As the founder Secretary General of the International Melody Foundation, an organisation devoted to the cause of preserving the dying art forms, Dr Bhalla is much admired for promoting the unknown faces from the world of performing arts.

A Graduate from the MGM Medical College Indore, he brings alive the character of Dr. Ravi Kant in the film Bhavishya-The Future! who is keen that his juniors get all the opportunities in life that he might have missed out personally!

Dr. Bidyut Kumar - Dr. Naren Trehan
Bidyut Kumar is a gynaecologist in his day job. His striking resemblance to the Great Cricketer and his personality does justice to the role of Dr Naren that he so ably performed.
Alaisdair
Dr. Alaisdair Robertson - Dr. Richard Gordon Brown
Plays Dr Richard Gordon Brown, a close friend of Deepak, who has not quite made it as much as Deepak has, and had to take up a Staff Grade Post in the NHS due to his personal circumstances.

Alaisdair is an ENT surgeon in his day job.

"As a doctor I have to make presentations but for real film acting in front of the camera was new to me and very different!"

Kimti Anand is one of the finest character actors in Delhi. Kajal Sharma
Kajal is an actress and a dancer, having been a disciple of the Great Kathak maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj. In this film she plays Anita, as well as choregraphing and performing the Holi song, that is truly filmed with a difference and grace.

Alap Desai makes his debut as a Music Director for Bhavishya-The Future. He has performed live with his group the world over.

A great Tabla player and a singer, his music group has been putting life and soul into the Navratri celebrations in cities across the UK, particularly Leicester and Liverpool.
Nikhil
Dr. Nikhil Kaushik

Dr. Nikhil Kaushik is a Consultant Eye Surgeon based in North Wales. He is an Independent film maker.

Nikhil has been associated with AIR and TV while in India and since being in the UK he has maintained his interests in media and arts. He has to his credit two poem collections: "Tum London Aaanaa Chahte Ho" and "Khara Hota Nahin Hai Apne Aap Koi".

Bhavishya-The Future, is his first feature length film, is an attempt to put across the roller coaster life professionals such as doctors lead, the uncertainty, insecurity, stresses and also the fun of the job. It is to a large extent inspired by and focuses upon the lives of International Medial Graduates in the British National Health Service.
