The star studded World Premiere of Bhavishya- The Future was held at the Nick Whitehead Theatre at the NEWI on the 15th of September 2006.BBC Wales, reported on the event during its main evening programme. The first screening of the film was attended by the Cast and Crew and the top dignitaries of the town including the MP Ian Lucas, Wrexham Mayor Cllr George James and the council leader Aled Roberts.
Richard Coombs of the Wales Screen Commission welcomed the guests and described the film as a proud achievement for its director and complimented all that were involved with the production.
Earlier Dr Peter Rutherford, the medical director of the North East Wales NHS Trust, told the BBC in an interview that the hospital staff had co-operated fully and were quite excited about the most unusual experience and looked forward to see several of their colleagues act in this most meaningful and entertaining film.
The film was also screened during the International Hindi Sammellan on the 14th of January 2007, and the film was much appreciated. The ICCR accorded an honour of 'Pravasi Filmkaar Samman' that was given by Mr Anand Sharma, the minister of state for foreign affairs.
